'Please press to accept this call or if you wish to refuse the call press 0 '.  mmm, I wonder what would happen if I pressed 0. Would the client receive a message saying 'the psychic decided she didn't want to talk to you' or would it appear on my status as 'refused the call, psychic just couldn't deal with your issues today?'
Looking at the caller notification on my screen and knowing already how the impending call will play out I am so tempted but the professional side takes over and I press 1.
'You will now be connected please introduce yourself.'

"Hello welcome to the 'Psychic Light' I am Psychic Tiffany and my pin number is 2003".

"Hi, Tiffany, it's Janine, just a quick one."   

No, it wont be  "Hi  Janine welcome back," I say in my most jovial voice, my head already exploding from the battle to come.   " Can I just have your date of birth please?" 

"Oh yes, of course, its 25th of the 11th 77"

"How can I guide you today?"  I ask silently grimacing. As if I didn't know.  Really how much money does this woman have? Doesn't she have any friends? Its the 4th call this week and if its anything like the others it is likely to go on for at least an hour and a half. Thank goodness I've only had one coffee.  The likelihood of a loo break was non-existent.  I suppose the good thing is with Janine you don't need to say much as its virtually impossible to get a word in. I think she just calls to let off steam. I do my best to give guidance but when I do she always knows better. I learned a long while ago that to keep my sanity it was best just to keep shtum and let her get on with it. After she is paying and if she didn't want to hear my guidance then it was her choice. When she first began calling over two years ago I found myself feeling so irritated I wanted to throw the telephone out of the window. Or just simply tell her to SHUT THE FUCK UP! and I probably wouldn't have a job. Don't get me wrong it's not always like this sometimes its great. What I call easy money but when I get clients like Janine the rate of pay just isn't enough. It's clients like Janine who make you question why the hell am I doing this?  Id get more job satisfaction cleaning out a sewer! Ok, maybe not a sewer but you get my drift?

"Career please?" 
"So what I'm..."
"I went for the interview and my question really is, did they like me?"
"Well, I am seeing..."
"I felt I did a good interview and they smiled a lot in fact they seemed impressed with me"
"So that's good, yes I am seeing that things are looking up and I see a change of direction, however, you will find yourself looking at things differently, in fact, I see you walking away from your current position."
"No I won't do that as I need another job first, I have bills to pay"
"Yes I understand however you will see things differently"
" I can't see that" 
"This is what I am seeing in the cards and its the future so things changed"
"Oh no when I get a job I will leave, what would be the point? How would I pay my bills?"
" Well I see that this is not going to be an issue
"Well if I do not have a job it will"
"I haven't said that you will not have another job I just saw you leaving the present one. I am looking at the future and that is what you have asked about" 
"Yes well we will see, I like to have a plan and there isn't any point going until I have something in place. It can take months to find a new job and how will I pay my bills I have a mortgage"
" Look all I am saying is that you will have a new perspective as you are seeing things now yes that is the way but in a week or so.
"No no no I couldn't any way it would be letting my team down. blah blah blah..."
And so it goes on. Why call a psychic to know your future if you aren't open to the guidance given.
Finally, after 63minutes I finish the call.
Ok time for a break and a wee before the next one.
